Join the Creative Team Behind the Vermont Burlesque Festival

The Vermont Burlesque Festival is gearing up for another spectacular season, and we're looking for passionate, creative individuals to join our team. If you've ever dreamed of being part of a vibrant, artistic community while gaining invaluable experience, now is your chance!

Why Join Us?

The Vermont Burlesque Festival isn’t just a celebration of performance art—it's a community where passion meets opportunity. Whether you’re looking to build your resume, expand your portfolio, or simply immerse yourself in a fun and dynamic environment, we may have a role that could be the perfect fit for you.

Most of our available positions are volunteer-based, providing you with the chance to gain hands-on experience, develop your skills, and make meaningful connections across various industries. We also offer a few paid roles for those looking to contribute their talents while earning a little extra on the side. All positions are part-time and seasonal, making them ideal for anyone looking to get involved without a long-term commitment.

As a member of our team, you'll be part of a supportive and creative community. You'll have the opportunity to express yourself, make new friends, and possibly discover a new passion. Plus, as a staffer, you’ll receive perks like festival passes, hotel discounts, professional headshot opportunities, festival swag, and more!

Open Positions

Here’s a glimpse at some of the exciting roles we’re looking to fill:

  • Sales & Sponsorships Lead: Help us reach our annual goal of $25,000 in sponsorships! This commission-based role is perfect for a driven individual ready to take the lead and make a significant impact.

  • Social Media Manager: Are you passionate about social media and eager to succeed in this field? This volunteer position is a great opportunity to gain experience and enhance your resume—ideal for students or entry-level candidates.

  • Stage Manager / ASM: If you’re enthusiastic about stage management and looking to build your CV, this role offers a small salary and the chance to play a key part in our event. The commitment is light leading up to the festival but intensifies during the event.

  • Silent Auction Coordinator: Love organizing events? Join us in coordinating our silent auction, where all proceeds go toward breast cancer research in Vermont. Make a difference in our community while showcasing your organizational skills!

How to Apply

If any of these roles sound like a fit for you, we’d love to hear from you! Send us a brief cover letter explaining why you’re interested, your resume with contact information, and any links to examples of your work (if applicable).

Send your information to:

Cory Royer, Co-Producer, VTBF

We can’t wait to welcome you to the Vermont Burlesque Festival team and see how your contributions will help make this year’s event the best one yet!
